Loretta "Deco" Earrings Update

I blogged about these earrings back in February. I'd been meaning to remake them because I wasn't happy with the way that I'd attached the wires at the top. I prefer to use an 8/0 seed bead at the top for a jump ring to go through and then attach the wire to the jump ring. I was wearing this set the other day and decided to go ahead and remake the earrings or I'd probably never get around to doing it. I like them much better this way. The picture above is the new, improved pair and here are the originals:

I also took some better photos of the bracelet that goes with the earrings:

Read my February post, HERE, for information on the beads that I used. The Loretta Earrings pattern is posted on Pinterest HERE. I made my "Deco Variation" bracelet and earrings slightly different than Éva's original pattern.

  1. Made a pair of these earrings and I am now going to attempt a bracelet. My husband won a $2500.00 travel voucher in a draw last spring so we are going to Mexico just before Christmas. I will have lots of opportunity to wear dressy jewelry while away. Thanks for all the inspiration.

  2. That sounds like fun, Ann. I wear my jewelry every day, even if it's dressy, just for the fun of it!

  3. I absolutely love these earrings. They are incredibly quick and simple to make. I literally spent more time picking out colors than I did to actually make them. I am currently making a pair for each of the ladies I stamp with! Thank you for your inspiration!

    1. I know just what you mean about choosing the colors. I find that with SuperDuos, unusual combinations of colors often work very well. The colors seem to blend and create an interesting and unexpected effect.
